Run Podex in two commands

No native installers, no package managers, no complex setup. Podex runs on any system with Docker and a local Kubernetes cluster.

Quick Start

Get Podex up and running in under two minutes.

Clone the Repository

$ git clone https://github.com/Hritikraj8804/podex.git
$ cd podex

Start with Docker Compose

$ docker compose up --build

Open Your Browser

Navigate to http://localhost:3000 and start exploring your cluster.

Prerequisites

Before running Podex, make sure you have these installed.

Docker & Docker Compose

Required to run the Podex container stack.

Local Development

If you prefer to develop without Docker containers, run each service separately.

Backend

$ cd backend

$ python -m venv .venv

$ pip install -r requirements.txt

$ uvicorn main:app --reload

Runs on http://localhost:8000

Frontend

$ cd frontend

$ npm install

$ npm run dev

Runs on http://localhost:3000

No Docker override needed

When running locally (not in Docker), the backend connects directly to your kubeconfig without the host.docker.internal address patching.
